1.In order for an organization to increase employee engagement, the company may use various methods. Discuss the influences and learning in the workplace that contribute to training and development. In addition, address your personal experience with employee engagement. Your response must be at least 200 words in length.

3. There are various reasons why training is needed. Identify some causes, and pick one to explain in detail.  Your response must be at least 200 words in length.

For this assignment, determine an effective process to evaluate the performance of one of your employees. As you have determined that periodic evaluations can be more beneficial than annual evaluations, you will be evaluating the mid-level manager who you hired and who has now been on board for 6 months. Your process should include an appropriate evaluation tool and a means of providing feedback on the employee’s performance issues. 

There are three parts to this project. You will begin by developing a performance review form that contains a minimum of 10 points of criteria. This template is a starting point and may be used as is or can be modified as you wish. The template has 10 points of criteria; however, you can add more if the specifics of the position warrant you doing so.

  • Provide an explanation for each of the criteria. Remember, these should directly represent the knowledge, skills, and abilities (KSAs) as well as the requirements for the position.
  • Develop a rating scale, and provide a legend that identifies the distinct performance rating definitions. There must be a minimum of three levels. (The template has three levels; however, you can add more.)  
  • Next, you will fill out your newly created form to evaluate the mid-level manager. This is, of course, based on the input of the immediate supervisor and your own assessment.
  • Evaluate each criteria, and include a minimum of three criteria where the employee does not meet performance expectations.
  • Summarize the employee performance appraisal in the comments section.  
  • Identify the employee’s strengths and weaknesses.
  • Offer feedback and coaching on ways that the employee can improve his or her performance.
  • Finally, you will write a one-page synopsis in which you explain the value of your evaluation process and new tool to your leadership team. Include the information below:
    • how the changes will benefit the organization,
    • how equal employment opportunity laws were considered, and
    • strategies that leaders can use to address unmet employee performance expectations.
  • Include two sources to support your explanation.

The template is only a guideline. You are encouraged to modify it as you wish, as long as it still meets all of the above listed requirements. Combine your completed template and the one-page synopsis into one document (.doc or .pdf) to upload in Blackboard. Ensure that you include a title page. Adhere to APA Style when creating citations and references for this assignment.

Please follow directions. The movie Anger Management is great movie to write on. Depending on your choice of movie, please make sure that it has a case manger in it helping people and follow the directions in the assignment. Some students are not following directions in the assignment and points will be deducted for not following instruction.

There are many examples of case management portrayals in media, including film. Choose a movie that showcases the work of a case manager, social worker, or Humans Service Professional. Watch the movie and pay close attention to the skills that are exemplified by the social services professional. 

Develop a synopsis paper on the different skills you saw the case manager provide and attributes that you saw in the case manager. Your paper should be 1-2 pages and cite the movie in APA format.

Some examples of relevant movies include Lilo and Stitch, Precious, Girl Interrupted, 28 Days, One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest, Case 3, Free Willie, The Grudge, I am Sam, Rain Man, Oranges and Sunshine, Sleepers, It takes 2, Anger Management, and Happy go Lucky.
These films (and many others) can be found via your public library, streaming video services (like Netflix, Hulu, Crackle, etc.), YouTube, Archive.org, or your local video rental service (like Red Box). 

Measuring Effectiveness of HR

  

Review the learning materials from class about HR metrics and HR Information Systems (HRIS). Then, conduct an independent search for information about how organizations can best measure the effectiveness of their HR practices, using metrics and HRIS. Consider the following questions:

1. What are some of the most important or impactful measurements of HR effectiveness, and why?

2. Are there any limits to what sort of information organizations can collect and store about their employees? How does privacy play a role in this?

In your teams, discuss the assessment of employees within the Telespazio organization. Develop a written description (750-1,000 words) discussing current evaluation methods, how the organization uses the appraisal assessments to identify employee roles, the current appraisal systems, performance ratings, and Telespazio’s practices for performing appraisal interviews.
