HR teams will play vital roles in organizations to ensure ethical behavior and compliance. To be effective, they must first place an emphasis on ethical behavior amongst their own teams. Go to https://www.shrm.org/about-shrm/Pages/code-of-ethics.aspx and review the HR Code of Ethics. Select any two of the 6 sections you feel might be more important than the others and explain your reasoning.

Labor relations and competitive bargaining

 

Prepare an essay response at least one page in length that answers the following questions:

  • What is the European Union’s Social Charter?
  • Why is it important for U.S. firms dealing with European unions to be aware of this?

AND

Prepare an essay response of at least one page in length that addresses the following items:

  • What factors distinguish the labor relations system in the public sector from that in the private sector?
  • Propose a public-sector labor relations system for the employees of the city government.
    • What would it borrow from the private sector?
    • What would it not be able to borrow? Why?
    • How would you modify your system to account for specific aspects of city government? Why?

References should be Five years old of less.

Dashboards serve many purposes one of which is to capture and communicate performance.

  • Explain the different purpose of each of the three types of performance dashboards: operational, tactical, and strategic.
  • Explain the differences in terms of the users, scope, information, frequency of updates and the emphasis for each.
  • Include an example of a dashboard as an appendix to your paper and include which type it is. (Remember that appendices are after the references page in APA format.)

Paper Requirements:

 2. Discuss 2 –3 concrete and real examples of the practices this organization has in place to support the employee value proposition. Explain the impact that you believe that EACH of these practices has on organizational outcomes(i.e. employee satisfaction can lead to higher productivity). In this section, you will need to use the resources that are provided by your employer. Note: Often times, this objective involves gathering information from your company’s Intranet or via informal interviews with colleagues / supervisors. You may need to include this information in the appendices of the paper –(i.e. screenshots or questions asked of colleagues). 3. Suggest 2 –3 additional organizational initiatives that your employer could potentially introduce and explain why these would be advantageous in your organization. Base these suggestions on what other similar organizations are successfully offering as EVP practices. You will need to do outside research for this objective and cite that research.

4.Discuss any examples of how your organization is currently measuring the return on investment of its current employee value practices(Objective 2)and how they are measuring this.For example, a common ROI is employee retention or employee satisfaction.Keep in mind that the ROI does not have to be measured in dollars and cents. If they are not currently measuring the ROI of the practices, provide an explanation or rationale for why you think this is.

 5.Finally, give two examples of how your organization could potentially measure two of the EVP practices you’ve discussed in the paper (either for Object 2 or Object 3 above). You will need to do outside research for this objective and cite that research.

The Planetree Model was introduced in the 1970s and is a model that attempts to create patient centered healthcare. Discuss that model and what it means to you as a patient, as a healthcare administrator, and the medical community, for example, which healthcare workers are the champions of the model? We have all worked in a group or team at some point in our careers. A team is brought together to achieve a common goal. The team needs to have members who have complementary skills and who are committed to a common purpose to achieve performance goals. However, teams don’t move immediately toward performing, but instead evolve over time. There are five stages of group and team development:

  1. Forming: Getting oriented and getting acquainted. High degree of uncertainty as members as they try to figure out who is in charge.
  2. Storming: Personalities start to emerge, along with roles and conflicts within the group.
  3. Norming: In the third stage conflicts are resolved, relationships developed, harmony and unity surfaces.
  4. Performing: The members concentrate on solving problems and completing the assigned task.
  5. Adjourning: Members prepare to disband. Some members may be reassigned, terminated from the group or the group is resolved.

Think about a time when you joined a new group—it could be at work, in a family setting or with a social group.
