Assignment Content

  1. Many information security policies cross the entire spectrum of an organization. 

    Module 04, “Network Security Policy Design and Implementation,” of EC Council CND Courseware provides an extensive list of information security policies.

    Choose 5 information security policies.

    Find an example of each policy on the Internet. Academic institutions and federal government agencies tend to publish their information security policies that are open to public view.

    Write a 2- to 3-page summary of the policies and examples you found in a Microsoft® Word document. Include the following for each of the policies:

    • Purpose of the policy
    • Owner of the policy
    • Audience of the policy
    • Co-dependencies with other policies
    • A link to the policy example
    • Cite references to support your assignment.

      Format your citations according to APA guidelines.

      Assignment checklist:

    1. The reflection must be 700 – 1050words (about 2-3 pages but I will be looking at word count) 
    2. Use the bullets or key points in the instructions and create corresponding heading and sub headers. This way it will be obvious that you hit the key points 
    3. Include at least one references that are properly cited 
    4. Any images must have a caption and referenced in the paper. 
    5. Combine the screenshots and the remainder of the assignment into one APA formatted document. If you submit the assignment in multiple parts you will lose points   
    6. Follow APA format (fonts, etc)

Assignment:

 Provide a reflection of at least 500 words (or 2 pages double spaced) of how the knowledge, skills, or theories of this course have been applied, or could be applied, in a practical manner to your current work environment. If you are not currently working, share times when you have or could observe these theories and knowledge could be applied to an employment opportunity in your field of study.

Use of proper APA formatting and citations. If supporting evidence from outside resources is used those must be properly cited.

Share a personal connection that identifies specific knowledge and theories from this course.

Demonstrate a connection to your current work environment. If you are not employed, demonstrate a connection to your desired work environment. 

You should not, provide an overview of the assignments assigned in the course. The assignment asks that you reflect how the knowledge and skills obtained through meeting course objectives were applied or could be applied in the workplace.

Please choose any two topics from the list below and create approx. 1 to 1 ½ page essay answering the 2 questions (out of 4).  Be sure to use at least one reference and ensure the paper is in APA format (with in-text citations).  Note: Avoid DIRECT wording from any source, rather rephrase the author’s work and use in-text citations where necessary.

  1. Name the basic constructs of an ensemble model. What are the advantages and disadvantages of ensemble models?
  2. List and briefly describe the nine-step process in conducting a neural network project.
  3. What is the main difference between classification and clustering? Explain using concrete examples.
  4. What are the privacy issues with data mining? Do you think they are substantiated?

Fun Run 3 – Multiplayer Games

Run 3, is the third game in the Run trilogy. 

Run 3 takes place in a series of tunnels in space. 

To play the amazing run 3 game, the players have to run and jump to pass different levels of obstacles. 

Run 3 introduces a number of new mechanics not seen in the previous games, including crumbling tiles, ramps, darkness, and the ability to re-enter a tunnel after jumping out.

People remember this game as a game everyone plays at school.

Use Space to jump.

Review: Run 3 online. 

When running into another lane, that lane will turn into the floor.

You can pause/resume/restart, switch aliens and turn the music, sound on/off in the pause menu.

Homework

Culture is an ongoing negotiation of learned patterns of beliefs, attitudes, values, and behaviors.

List some of your personal, social, and cultural identities.  Are there any of these that are interrelated?  In what way? For your cultural identities, which ones are dominant and which ones are nondominant? How does a person navigate between two cultural identities? 

How does your personal, social, and cultural identities impact you as a communicator and as a listener?
