Assignment #1 White Paper on Global Leadership 

Conduct a review of the literature regarding Global Leadership characteristics. Search for information about which areas are considered critical and relevant for leaders.

Include the following in your review:

• Introduction

• Defining what is global leadership

• Description about the need for addressing global leadership

• Discussion on the key competencies global leaders would need. Include a minimum of 5 competencies and support your selections with related references (2 or more references)

• Describe why they are important

• Choose one of the competencies and discuss its relevancy from a leader’s perspective

• Suggestions for becoming an effective leader global leader  

• Conclusion

Paper Requirements:

• Length of paper 5 – 7 pages not including the title or reference page.

• Use minimum 5 scholarly references to support your  research and arguments. Must be published within the last 5 years.

PART 1: Think about a financial decision you made regarding the purchase of a big-ticket item within the last five years. Provide a summary on the discussion thread, answering the following questions:

Discuss your thoughts about how arguments are being waged across the country regarding folks using stereotypes (implicit bias) to affect their decision making concerning age, ethnicity, color, level of education, wealth status, job position, weight, and many other factors.

Discussion is to be submitted in 12-point Times New Roman font using APA format with a minimum of two sources.

Use an appropriate number of references to support your position, and defend your arguments. The following are examples of primary and secondary sources that may be used, and non-credible and opinion based sources that may not be used.

Primary sources such as government websites (United States Department of Labor – Bureau of Labor Statistics, United States Census Bureau, The World Bank), peer reviewed and scholarly journals in EBSCOhost (Grantham University Online Library) and Google Scholar.

Secondary and credible sources such as CNN Money, The Wall Street Journal, trade journals, and publications in EBSCOhost (Grantham University Online Library).

Non-credible and opinion based sources such as, Wikis, Yahoo Answers, eHow, blogs, etc. should not be used.

Cite all reference material (data, dates, graphs, quotes, paraphrased statements, information, etc.) in the paper and list each source on a reference page using APA style. An overview of APA 6th edition in-text citations, formatting, reference list, and style is provided here.

The recruitment of employees is a critical part of the HR function and it is also been a function that has changed vastly for many organizations.
