Prepare a research paper on some of the various issues, protocols, methods, frameworks you found and discuss how – if possible – organizations can use ERM as strategy. It is perfectly acceptable if you deem ERM cannot be used as strategy, just back up your claim with scholarly research and justifications.

Your paper should meet these requirements: 

Be approximately four to six pages in length, not including the required cover page and reference page.

Follow APA 7 guidelines. Your paper should include an introduction, a body with fully developed content, and a conclusion.

The financial business has 60 employees and is struggling with security issues both internal and external. Employees use laptops and have remote access to the office systems. Your Bid Response needs to be a turnkey solution that will provide a solution to but not limited to the following problems (so be creative):

1) Equipment is disappearing

2) No building or computer room security.

3) No policies (AUP)

4) No virus protection and experiencing viruses daily

5) No intrusion detection and experiencing intrusions daily

7) There is an Internet connection but no protection and content filtering

8) Sensitive information is being copied from systems

9) If a disaster should happen to the building there are no plans to recover

Congratulations! The executives are taking your information system proposal seriously. In fact, they think it has the potential to transform the way the organization works.

The CIO asked you to read Too Much of a Good Thing to think about what resources you will need to get your new information system up and running. Please also review the five case studies in The Leader’s Role in Managing Change so you can recommend a change management pattern for your company to follow. 

Write a memo to the CIO that describes how to implement your information system into the organization. Please focus on these topics:

  1. How much of the implementation work can you handle? What additional resources (people, information, time, money, etc.) will expedite the process so you don’t end up like Susie Jeffer?
  2. What is your change management strategy? Provide an outline. Consider:      
    • What new equipment and software are necessary?
    • What training and support will the staff need?
    • How will the staff complete their work during the transition period?
    • Do you anticipate other areas of resistance?

The CIO is very skeptical, so provide evidence that your assessment is accurate and complete. It can be difficult to admit to personal limitations!

Your memo should be 3–5 pages long.
