Case Assignment

  1. After reviewing the required readings, select a public health model or framework that you think will be most appropriate for planning a program to address the issue of obesity.
  2. Provide the rationale for selecting the model of choice and support your statements.
  3. Explain the components of the selected model. Also include the benefits and limitations of the model.
  4. Select and explain the core competencies demonstrated by a public health professional in this phase of program planning.

Be sure to use credible, professional, and scholarly sources such as peer-reviewed journal articles from the Trident Online Library, and government, university, or nonprofit organizations’ websites.

Length: 3–4 pages double-spaced, excluding the cover page and the reference list.

Create a Power Point about Type of Infections associated with healthcare system that patient can be develop and acquired. Please follow the instructions of the presentation. 

– Power Point with minimum 15 slides, including types of infections and type of healthcare settings.

·  Purpose: The purpose of the patient/family teaching project is to develop and implement a teaching plan for a geriatric patient utilizing teaching learning principles.

·  Objectives: By the conclusion of the presentation, the students will be able to:

o  State the various indications for a specified diet

o  Explain the scientific rationale for a prescribed diet

o  Describe food/fluid restrictions appropriate for diet or food/fluids encouraged to meet nutritional needs?

o  Describe how to present a short nutritional teaching plan to a patient& family with cultural differences.

o  Apply current research related to the nutrition topic.

·  Requirements:

o  Utilize teaching experience rubric for essential criteria.

o  The paper should be between 3-5 pages (not including title page and references).

o  The paper must be typed and conform to APA format.

o  A minimum of two references are required.

o  Written paper is due during the 7th week on the assigned clinical day.

  1. Please find a randomized trial you would like to use for the article critique assignment. Make sure it is from a nursing journal and is not older than five years. 
  2. Read the “The Three-Minute Appraisal of a Randomized Trial” article.
  3. Evaluate the following:
    1. What is the key criteria for evaluating an RTC?
    2. Are the results of the trial valid?  Were the subjects randomized?
    3. What about the experimental and control group?  How were they allocated?  Did they look like each other?  What about the variables?  Did the group look the same?
    4. What were the results of the trial?  How were the results of the trial being measured?  What statistical measures were used?  Was the results significant?  Was the hypothesis accepted or rejected by the authors?
    5. Are the results applicable to clinical practice?  Are the results feasible?
