Create a professional presentation of your evidence-based intervention and change proposal to be disseminated to an interprofessional audience of leaders and stakeholders. Include the intervention, evidence-based literature, objectives, resources needed, anticipated measurable outcomes, and how the intervention would be evaluated.
Advanced Pathophysiology. Assignment
· NURS 6501: Advanced Pathophysiology
At least 3 ciatations APA Format. 7th Edition
Required Reading
McCance, K. L. & Huether, S. E. (2019). Pathophysiology: The biologic basis for disease in adults and children (8th ed.). St. Louis, MO: Mosby/Elsevier.
· Chapter 32: Structure and Function of the Cardiovascular and Lymphatic Systems; Summary Review
· Chapter 33: Alterations of Cardiovascular Function (stop at Dysrhythmias); Summary Review
· Chapter 35: Structure and Function of the Pulmonary System; Summary Review
· Chapter 36: Alterations of Pulmonary Function (stop at Disorders of the chest wall and pleura); (obstructive pulmonary diseases) (stop at Pulmonary artery hypertension); Summary Review
Note: The above chapters were first presented in the Week 3 resources. If you read them previously you are encouraged to review them this week.
Week 4: Alterations in the Cardiovascular and Respiratory Systems
Cardiovascular and respiratory disorders can quickly become dangerous healthcare matters, and they routinely land among the leading causes of hospital admissions. Disorders in these areas are complicated by the fact that these two systems work so closely as contributors to overall health. APRNs working to form a similarly close partnership with patients must demonstrate not only support and compassion, but expertise to guide the understanding of diagnoses and treatment plans. This includes an understanding of patient medical backgrounds, relevant characteristics, and other variables that can be factors in their diagnoses and treatments.
This week, you examine alterations in the cardiovascular and respiratory systems and the resultant disease processes. You also consider patient characteristics, including racial and ethnic variables, and the impact they have on altered physiology.
Learning Objectives
Students will:
· Analyze processes related to cardiovascular and respiratory disorders
· Analyze alterations in the cardiovascular and respiratory systems and the resultant disease processes
· Analyze racial/ethnic variables that may impact physiological functioning
· Evaluate the impact of patient characteristics on disorders and altered physiology
Module 2 Assignment: Case Study Analysis
An understanding of the cardiovascular and respiratory systems is a critically important component of disease diagnosis and treatment. This importance is magnified by the fact that these two systems work so closely together. A variety of factors and circumstances that impact the emergence and severity of issues in one system can have a role in the performance of the other.
Effective disease analysis often requires an understanding that goes beyond these systems and their capacity to work together. The impact of patient characteristics, as well as racial and ethnic variables, can also have an important impact.

An understanding of the symptoms of alterations in cardiovascular and respiratory systems is a critical step in diagnosis and treatment of many diseases. For APRNs this understanding can also help educate patients and guide them through their treatment plans.
In this Assignment, you examine a case study and analyze the symptoms presented. You identify the elements that may be factors in the diagnosis, and you explain the implications to patient health.
To prepare:
Case Study.
A 65-year-old patient is 8 days post op after a total knee replacement. Patient suddenly complains of shortness of breath, pleuritic chest pain, and palpitations. On arrival to the emergency department, an EKG revealed new onset atrial fibrillation and right ventricular strain pattern – T wave inversions in the right precordial leads (V1-4) ± the inferior leads (II, III, aVF).
Assignment (2-pages case study analysis)
In your Case Study Analysis related to the scenario provided, explain the following
· The cardiovascular and cardiopulmonary pathophysiologic processes that result in the patient presenting these symptoms.
· Any racial/ethnic variables that may impact physiological functioning.
· How these processes interact to affect the patient.
These points needs to be properly addressed.

How has technology helped you in the writing process?
Nursing
Unfortunately, it’s a research paper and not an academic essay addressing the various aspects of an issue in controversy. It would help if you thought about why COVID-19 is so controversial and contentious and frame a thesis that addresses this topic. You can then use all of this excellent research to support the thesis. I’ve suggested a possible direction to take in my comments on your paper; take a look at this and see if it helps you re-direct this essay to meet the assignment’s expectations.
Please let me know if you have questions. This is a fine topic, and your research is excellent; you need to reframe it in the context of controversy, however, and not just produce a summary of the recent research. Do you see the difference?
Topic 1 Week 5
Healthy People 2020 and Nursing
Topic 1: Faith-Based Nursing
Review Healthy People 2020. Identify objectives that are amenable to parish nurse intervention.
- Describe how faith communities can contribute to the accomplishment of these national health objectives and accomplish the goal of improving the health of the public.
- How can nurses working in the community form partnerships with parish nurses and faith communities?
- How would such partnerships be beneficial?
Case Study
Post a response to the following:
- Provide the case number in the subject line of the Discussion.
- List three questions you might ask the patient if he or she were in your office. Provide a rationale for why you might ask these questions.
- Identify people in the patient’s life you would need to speak to or get feedback from to further assess the patient’s situation. Include specific questions you might ask these people and why.
- Explain what physical exams and diagnostic tests would be appropriate for the patient and how the results would be used.
- List three differential diagnoses for the patient. Identify the one that you think is most likely and explain why.
- List two pharmacologic agents and their dosing that would be appropriate for the patient’s ADHD therapy based on pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics. From a mechanism of action perspective, provide a rationale for why you might choose one agent over the other.
- If your assigned case includes “check points” (i.e., follow-up data at week 4, 8, 12, etc.), indicate any therapeutic changes that you might make based on the data provided.
- Explain “lessons learned” from this case study, including how you might apply this case to your own practice when providing care to patients with similar clinical presentations.

DQ2. 250 WORDS CITATION AND REFERENCES
Now that you have completed a series of assignments that have led you into the active project planning and development stage for your project, briefly describe your proposed solution to address the problem, issue, suggestion, initiative, or educational need and how it has changed since you first envisioned it. What led to your current perspective and direction?
