Your Research Project on the surveillance state consists of two parts:

1 a Powerpoint presentation consisting of at least 12 slides not including title and references.

2. 750 word research  paper with at least 3 sources.

You must include at least 3 quotes from your sources enclosed in quotation marks and cited in-line. 

There should be no lists – bulleted, numbered or otherwise. 

Write in essay format with coherent paragraphs not in outline format.

Do your own work. Zero points will be awarded if you copy other’s work and do not cite your source or you use word replacement software. 

The topic must be appropriate for graduate level. Find a topic that we covered in the course and dig deeper or find something that will help you in your work or in a subject area of interest related to the course topic. Use academically appropriate resources which you can find in the Danforth Library Research Databases.

How do you think the book’s discussion of American culture pertains to Online education?  Online education still receives much criticism and ridicule. Do you feel that is because of our cultural orientation toward certainty, or is it because of lack of ‘face time’? Tony Prince and his team are working on the Recreation and Wellness Intranet Project. • Using the cost model you created in the first task,      prepare a cost baseline by allocating the costs by WBS for each month of      the project.
• Assume that you have completed 3 months of the project.      The BAC was $200,000 for this 6-month project. You can also make the      following assumptions:
• PV=$120,000
• EV=$100,000
• AC=$90,000

a. What is the cost variance, schedule variance, cost performance index (CPI), and schedule performance index (SPI) for the project?

b. Use the CPI to calculate the estimate at completion      (EAC) for this project. Is the project performing better or worse than      planned?

c. Use the SPI to estimate how long it will take to finish      this project.

After completing your charts, write a 150-word follow-up in which you complete the following:

• Explain how the project is doing based on the CPI and      SPI. Is it ahead of schedule or behind? Is it under budget or over?

 Research and write 5-6 page report (double spaces 12pt) on one of the two topics. Make sure to include bibliography, and quote any language or phrases you borrow from your references with proper citation.

1.) Discuss in 500 words, why institutions might be reluctant to move their IT to the cloud. Consider a specific industry like education, medicine, military, etc.

Use the quotes in your paragraphs. Stand alone quotes will not count toward the 3 required quotes.

2.) You have been assigned to investigate whether or not an employee at a local hospital has been accessing patient records and setting information to online pharmacies. 

It is your first day of the investigation. Put together a list of data sources that must be examined during the investigation.

Background

Last week you were asked to select your case and presented an overview introducing your case with an explanation of what is currently happening. This week you are asked to create a presentation explaining your reasons for selecting your case and how you will use the information after your research. 

Task

Base on your selection, address the following in your presentation:

1)  Kirk (2016) tells us that data adjustments affects what data is displayed and presentation adjustments affects how the data is displayed. Each of the adjustments involve specific features. Data adjustments include: Framing, Navigating, Animating, Sequencing, and Contributing. Presentation adjustments include: Focusing, Annotating, and Orientating. Select one feature and expand on it. (about 200 words)

2) Find an elegantly designed chart(related to analyzing and visualizing data) and tell in atleast 5 sentences (one paragraph) why you think it is elegant. The top part should be a the screen shot of the design. The explanation should be below.

This project is pretty much complete, just need to implement a page replacement algorithm to the .c file I have included. The original pdf is attached as well. There is also an expected output after the code is complete to test the project.

Read the attached case study answer the questions at the end of the text in a 2 and a half page paper (excluding title and reference pages) include at least three peer-reviewed sources found.

Note: My assignments will need actual references from EBSCO host, google scholar, and semantic scholar With a website link at the end.  Only use APA 7th edition.
