Project Description:

You are the newly-hired membership director of Sam’s Gym and one of your responsibilities is to put together a membership package providing essential information to the new members. You quickly collected information from various sources and wrote a draft about the gym and its services. Python and the database tool SQLite will develop a functional project of your choice from the Capstone Project List. You will begin with an approach/strategy statement of the project, use the topics covered in class and document your code using comments inline to the code. And most of all, have fun building a project!

 You’ll create both pseudocode and a flowchart to design a mobile app. The app will write the device’s latitude and longitude to a file each time the device’s location changes. Use the techniques discussed in Section 3.3 and Chapter 10 of your textbook to write the latitude and longitude to the file as a record.Write your pseudocode in a plain-text editor such as Notepad or TextEdit, and save as a text file (*.txt). Also, save a screenshot of your flowchart as a JPEG file (*.jpg).

Part 2: GUI Design

In addition to creating pseudocode and a flowchart for your app, you’ll also create a basic GUI design for your app. You can use Microsoft PowerPoint or Apache OpenOffice Impress to lay out your GUI and indicate components such as buttons, text boxes, sliders, and others.
