calculates the cost of gas at a local gas station

A Gas pump calculates the cost of gas at a local gas station. The station charges $2.69 per gallon for regular grade gas, $2.79 per gallon for special grade gas, and $2.89 for super grade. Create an application that simulates the functionality of the gas pump. The user enters the number of gallons to purchase and clicks the desired grade (each grade is represented by a button whose text properties are set to Regular, Special, and Super+). The Click event handler for each button calls a method to compute the total cost from the number of gallons entered and the selected grade. (note: use the text property of each button to pass the selected grade to your method)

Module 13

This discussion forum focus on the many dimensions of building a properly functioning system that meets the customer demands according to Software Engineering principles outlined in the assigned textbook.

Discuss some of the “Software Engineering ” constraints that must be overcome in order build a successful system.

Search the peer-reviewed literature  for examples of this. You may select any topic relating to technology that illustrates the potential for really messing things up. Include, in your description, an analysis of what might have caused the problems and potential solutions to them. Be sure to provide supporting evidence, with citations from the literature

Write Your Objective Summary ( ponzi scheme)

Assignment Content

  1. At this point, you have found your research articles exploring your approved research question and you have learned how to find your 6 ‘ingredients’ during class (contact the Graduate Research Center for help if you need it: [email protected] OR the Virtual Library accessed through the Content page).

In Class: You learned about the W(5) H(1) and completed Phase 2 on p. 13a of your Final ‘Mission’ Packet (Found in W. 4’s HW). This will be IMPORTANT for Week 6 so you MUST complete this before our next meeting. These notes will also help you with this assignment. See below

For this assignment:  You will choose ANY ONE of the research articles you submitted for W. 4’s HW and complete the following in a WORD document.
    Requirements:

    • 15 pts, Cover/Title Page
    • 70 pts, Objective Summary: W(5) H(1) — YOU MUST PUT THIS IN YOUR OWN WORDS (Check your similarity BEFORE you submit)
    • 15 pts, References Page (you will only have one reference listed — the research article you are using. Use the CORRECT references formula in the Foundations text to help you – found in Course Resources folder)
    • Resources to help you:
    • Re-watch the class recording
    • In Foundations Text:
    • See pp. 17-22 to read about objective summaries
    • See pp. 23-28 to read more about avoiding plagiarism
    • See pp. 33-34 for Journal references formula

                        (Question Below)

Discuss the impact of SQL injections.

DBMS

we have been building our Database using concepts of design and Structured Query Language (SQL). Now, your database should be ready to be deployed into action. This usually means the database structure and relationships have been thoroughly tested and everything functions as anticipated to begin the development of a Database Management Systems (DBMS) or Web pages (GUI) that will interact with it.

In the next couple weeks, you need to work with a database management system (DBMS) that will be your Graphical User Interface (GUI) for building and maintaining your database. Use this additional information on DBMS functions and resources as you complete your assignment.

This week, find and submit a database management system (DBMS) proposal for your final project. Choose a DBMS that you believe you will be able to execute during these last couple weeks. Your proposal must include the name and description of the DBMS (documentation and/or links). Include 1-2 paragraphs explaining why this DBMS interests you. Also, share a few challenges you anticipate by using the DBMS in your database project.
