You have been asked by

You have been asked by a tax return preparer to create a program which will help him calculate taxes. This preparer will at most have 100 clients. For each client, he has to keep track of the client’s first name, last name, gross income, and number of children. Use parallel arrays to store this information for him.

A taxpayer’s federal tax due is calculated as follow. First, the taxpayer gets a dependency exemption deduction of $2,000 for each child. So, if a taxpayer has two children, he or she will get a dependency exemption deduction of $4,000. A taxpayer gross income is reduced by the amount of the dependency exemption deduction to determine his taxable income.

The amount of tax due is a percentage of taxable income. If taxable income is greater than or equal to $100,000, the tax due is 30% of taxable income. If taxable income is greater than or equal to $50,000, but less than $100,000, the tax due is 20% of taxable income. If taxable income is less than $50,000, tax due is 10% of taxable income. A taxpayer cannot have a negative tax due – if his taxable income is less than 0, his tax due is 0.

Present the user with a menu of the following four choices

1. Add taxpayer info (This will allow the user to enter the info (first name, last name, gross income, number of children for ONE taxpayer )

2. View info for all taxpayers (This will allow the user to view info for all

taxpayers: first and last name, gross income, number of children, tax due.)

3. Find and display the total owed for all taxpayers

4. Exit the program (If the user choices 4, the program will exit. If the user

chooses 1, 2 or 3, the program will do what the menu item says it will do,

and then the menu will appear again.

ASSIGNMENT

Step 1, Brainstorm: Think about your field of study as a master’s student. Use one of the two methods taught in class and find 3 articles that report on relevant problems related to the industry associated with your master’s degree program (think about scandals within the last 5 years). Come up with one example using the format below in a simple Word document.

Step 2, Create your Word Document and Answer Questions (it should look similar to p. 5 in Foundations):

FOR EXAMPLE: If my major is Computer Science, I would come up with something like Issue/Problem .

Issue/Problem 1:

1) People Involved:

2) Link to 3 research Articles:

3) My Research Question: What have researchers learned about

Journal Article: Decentralization

Journal Article: Decentralization

Your submission must include the following information in the following format:

DEFINITION: a brief definition of the key term followed by the APA reference for the term; this does not count in the word requirement.

SUMMARY: Summarize the article in your own words- this should be in the 150-word range. Be sure to note the article’s author, note their credentials and why we should put any weight behind his/her opinions, research or findings regarding the key term.

DISCUSSION: Using 300-words, write a brief discussion, in your own words of how the article relates to the selected chapter Key Term. A discussion is not rehashing what was already stated in the article, but the opportunity for you to add value by sharing your experiences, thoughts and opinions. This is the most important part of the assignment.

REFERENCES: All references must be listed at the bottom of the submission–in APA format. Be sure to use the headers in your submission to ensure that all aspects of the assignment are completed as required. Any form of plagiarism, including cutting and pasting, will result in zero points for the entire assignment.

Lab 11b

Lab 11b

For this lab, you need to do some research. Find a free game (or whatever) that runs either in Linux and research installing it on your system. (can be a demo or anything that you can install legally for free)

Get the software and install it. Document what you found, what networking requirements it has, and how you configured it.

Job Market Projection (Individual Assignment)

After  loading “Labor Market 2018 & Projected 2018–28” data set (you can  download it in this assignment folder), please answer below questions.  (Data is provided by U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, https://www.bls.gov/careeroutlook/2019/article/wages-and-openings.htm)

Create  a scatter plot that shows “Median Annual Wage 2018” in Y axis and  “Annual Average Openings, Projected 2018-2028” in X axis, bubble sized  by number of records and colored by occupational group.

Please create  your title of this figure and copy and paste it on this below box

Q1)  Please locate the jobs that are related to data systems in this data.  What are the median annual wages in 2018 and annual average openings  projected from 2018 to 2028?

Q2)  After exploring the data, are you willing to have this job for your  future career?  If you changed your mind, why? Then, locate the jobs  that interest you for your future placements and lable them in your  figure. Please elaborate on your decision.
