Project Description:

In the following project, you will edit a presentation regarding a wildlife refuge where Kodiak West Travel conducts tours.

     

Open the file Student_PowerPoint_1F_Refuge.pptx   downloaded with this project. 

 

Change the Slide Size to   Widescreen (16:9).

 

Display the presentation   Outline. In the Outline, on Slide 2, increase the list level of the third and   the fifth bullet points. Click at the end of the last bullet point after the   word roads, and then type or facilities

 

Return the presentation to   Normal view, and then display Slide 4. Display the Reuse Slides pane. Browse   to open from your downloaded files, p01F_Excursions.pptx. Make sure the   Keep source formatting check box is cleared. With Slide 4 in your   presentation displayed, insert the last two slides from the Reuse Slides   pane.
 

  Note—Mac users insert all slides and delete Slide 5—Wildlife and Excursions.

 

Display Slide 1, and then change   the layout to Title Slide.

 

On Slide 1, select the subtitle—Experience Alaska with Kodiak West Travel.   Change the Font to Arial, and the Font Size to 28. Change the Font Color to   black. Center the title and the subtitle.

 

Display Slide 5, and then select   the paragraph in the content placeholder. Apply Bold and Italic, and then   change the Font Size to 16.

 

In the same paragraph, center   the text, and then change the Line Spacing to 1.5. Center the slide title.

 

In Slide Sorter view, delete   Slide 3. Move Slide 5 to position it after Slide 2.

 

Move Slide 4 to the end of the   presentation.

 

In Normal view, display Slide 1.   Apply the Split transition and change the Effect Options to Horizontal Out.   Change the Duration to 1.75, and then apply the transition to all of the   slides in the presentation. 

 

Insert a Header & Footer on   the Notes and Handouts. Include the Date and time updated automatically, the   Page number, a Footer with the text 1F_Refuge and then apply to all notes and   handouts.

 

Display the Document Properties.   As the Tags type refuge, tours
  Note—Mac users use the Keywords box.

 

Save and close the file, and   then submit for grading.

Write a subroutine that generates random numbers that lie between a and b. The user calls the subroutine as my(numbers) = myrandom(n,a,b). The subroutine returns n random number between a and b. Call the program with a seed of 0, a = -3, b = 7, and n = 10. Print out your 10 random numbers after the subroutine call.

To complete the task, you will create an Excel table, use data filters, conditional formatting, and lastly you will prepare the document to print.

     

Start Excel. Download and open the file named EXP19_Excel_Ch04_HOEAssessment_Investments.xlsx. Grader has automatically added   your last name to the beginning of the filename. 

 

Create a table named Transactions based on the data in   the Range A4:E248. 

 

Freeze the first row   containing column headings. 

 

Apply White, Table   Style Medium 4. 

 

Add a new column   named Percent Change

 

Enter a formula in   the Percent Change column using unqualified structured references to   calculate the percent change between the commodity purchase price and the   current price. (Purchase Price/Current Price).

 

Apply Percentage   Number format to the range F5:F248.

 

Add a Total Row to   the Percent Change column. Set the totals to display the average of percent   change column. 

 

Apply Solid Blue Data   Bars formatting to the Percent Change column. 

 

Filter the data to   only display Stocks and Bonds.

 

Sort the data by   Broker, then by Commodity, then by Purchase Price. 

 

Click and drag to set   the range A4:F249, which is the Transactions table, as   a print area. Be sure the value [#All]   follows the table name in the Print area box.

 

Set row 4 to repeat   when printed.
