People are using their mobile phone browsers more and more every day to find information about businesses, make product decisions and purchases, and even determine the quality of a business based on what they can find online.  Write a seven to 10 (7 – 10) page paper in which you: 

• How to Choose a Mobile Web Development Option.
• Research and discuss effective use of screen real estate.
• Compare and contrast different mobile platforms (i.e. Android, iOS).
• The tools of mobile interface design.
• Discuss mobile information design.
• Choosing mobile web options.

The article on IRB this week discusses broad consent under the revised Common Rule. When you are doing any sort of research you are going to need to have your research plan approved by the University’s institutional review board or IRB. If you have never heard of this term before, please take a look online and find a brief summary of what it is about, before you read the article.  

Please answer the following questions in your main post:

• What is the Common Rule?
• How is this issue related to information systems and digital privacy?

 In this application, you will make an app using TabViewController framework, as we did in “TAMUC CS” app for grad and undergrad students.  The purpose of this app is to give the user a quick access to some big companies’ twitter and Facebook pages. Please see below sketch. 

 The app will have three tabs (as in CS  app). The first tab (the left one) will present five companies/persons and a switch for each. You can choose (update) these companies/persons as you wish. Once the user wants to see a company’s twitter and/or facebook pages, she/he makes this company’s radio button ON. So, a company/person is selected in “company” tab, then user may go (touch) to Twitter and FaceBook tabs. Each of these tabs has UIWebView to display twitter and facebook pages for the selected company in the first tab.

Make sure that
– Once user started the app, the last company (ABC bank in above schema) will be selected by default. You need to keep this data in a file or in user setting permanently even if the app is closed. (See below for the hint)
– If the user makes all switches off, then Twitter and FaceBook tab will show an error/warning, such as “Please make a selection first”.
– User will not be able to make more than “one” ON selection among five radio buttons. If she/he tries to make two “ON”s among them, automatically set previous switch ON to OFF.
– Make sure that you made https request in your app to FB and Twitter. Otherwise you need to configure the your app’s plist file so that you can load http sites.

HINT: How to use user default setting of an app to keep data:

4. Research on the Internet and explain the procedures for accepting credit card (VISA, Master Card, Discover, American Express, etc.) payments for e-Commerce businesses including the required equipment, costs for transactions, etc.

As you may already know, Amazon recently purchased Whole Foods Market and have started integrating them into Amazon Market Place.  Provide a logical discussion on whether in your opinion this a good or bad move by Amazon was, the risks involved in this action, and how it could affect (positively or negatively) the rest of the grocery market in US.
