PowerPoint Chapter 4 Cumulative – Our Earth’s Ecosystems

Project Description:

You are working with another teacher to a create a slide show about the Earth’s ecosystems for your science class. Your colleague has already created a presentation that you can use for the project. After looking at the presentation, you see some revisions that would help the presentation provide a more impactful presentation.

Start PowerPoint. Download and   open the file Exp22_PPT_Ch04_Cumulative_Ecosystem.pptx.   Grader has automatically added your last name to the beginning of the   filename.

Click or navigate to Slide 2.   Turn on the Guides. Position and insert the guides so that they are set up   according to the Rule of Thirds as follows:

Change the height of the stacked   rock image to 6.8″. Set the Horizontal position of the image to 6.4″ and the Vertical position to 0.7″ so the vertical center of the   stacked rocks is lined up with the vertical guide at 2.25 right of 0″ on   the horizontal ruler, and the bottom of the image is positioned on the bottom   of the slide. Turn off the guides.

Week 15 Assignment

Please review the Admissibility of Expert Testimony in Courts.pdf (check the Supplemental Materials) folder.

This is a bit long – 15 page law article but it does a very good job of summarizing the different tests from Frye to Daubert and various hybrid of whether you are qualified to talk about your findings.

Then please provide me a 2 page paper (minimum) summarizing what you have learned. Also do some research – what is the case law in Kentucky? Ohio? Are there differences in state or federal court in both states? Please cite RECENT case law to support your analysis as this law article is out of date.

Why did I assign this?

Knowing what test is “adopted” in the state is important. Again, – it is NOT the tool but the person’s knowledge, skill, and whether scientific rigor was followed along with chain of custody and authentication / integrity best practices. Also, when you are leading an investigation you want to be familiar with what test courts (state or federal) may apply!

  • Review your classmate’s contributions for pros and cons of one  of the example network setups and determine if they have any gaps in  their understanding.
  • Provide feedback for a classmate’s home network diagram. Do you have any suggestions to improve it?

Diagram 2 is the closest to my home network instead of the cable box.  I just have a router because I don’t watch cable tv. I mainly watch  Netflix and other movie apps. I normally don’t watch tv but when I do, I  have those apps to choose from and I could live stream that way as  well.  I don’t think I need to add anything else it works out just fine.

for my naming scheme, I usually use a nickname and or my last name  and I might throw some numbers in there depending on how I feel. I chose  my naming scheme because it was just something that I felt comfortable  putting which is a nickname and I know that it’s me.

The pros are that it has a simple setup. Having the possibility to  configure a router not required of higher quality than a gateway port  for your phone is provided. The cons are that the quantity of ethernet  ports reduces the number of gadgets that can be linked together with low  wi-fi coverage. I do agree with the pros because I have a password  included, as far as the cons it works out but it also buffers because of  the limited wifi range.

Everything that I use is connected to my wifi including my two TVs  but for some reason, the TVs wouldn’t connect in packet tracer so I put  them up anyway just to show the class how my home setup is.

cybersecurity

Scenario

You are a security professional for Blue Stripe Tech, an IT services provider with approximately 400 employees. Blue Stripe Tech partners with industry leaders to provide storage, networking, virtualization, and cybersecurity to clients.

Blue Stripe Tech recently won a large DoD contract, which will add 30 percent to the revenue of the organization. It is a high-priority, high-visibility project. Blue Stripe Tech will be allowed to make its own budget, project timeline, and tollgate decisions.

As a security professional for Blue Stripe Tech, you are responsible for developing security policies for this project. These policies are required to meet DoD standards for delivery of IT technology services to the U.S. Air Force Cyber Security Center (AFCSC), a DoD agency.

To do this, you must develop DoD-approved policies, standards, and control descriptions for your IT infrastructure (see the “Tasks” section in this document). The policies you create must pass DoD-based requirements. Currently, your organization does not have any DoD contracts and thus has no DoD-compliant security policies, standards, or controls in place.

Blue Stripe Tech’s computing environment includes the following:

  • 12 servers running the latest edition of Microsoft Server, providing the following:
    • Active Directory (AD)
    • Domain Name System (DNS)
    • Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP)
    • Enterprise resource planning (ERP) application (Oracle)
    • A research and development (R&D) engineering network segment for testing, separate from the production environment
    • Microsoft Exchange Server for email
    • Email filter
    • Cloud-based secure web gateway (web security, data loss protection, next-generation firewall, cloud application security, advanced threat protection)
  • Two Linux servers running Apache Server to host your website
  • 400 PCs/laptops running Microsoft Windows 10, Microsoft 365 office applications, and other productivity tools

Tasks

  • Develop a list of compliance laws required for DoD contracts.
  • Determine which policy framework(s) will be used for this project.
  • List controls placed on domains in the IT infrastructure.
  • List required standards for common devices, categorized by IT domain.
  • Develop DoD-compliant policies for the organization’s IT infrastructure.
  • Describe the policies, standards, and controls that would make the organization DoD compliant.
  • Develop a high-level deployment plan for implementation of these polices, standards, and controls.
  • Write a professional report that includes all of the above content-related items and citations for all sources.

Hello. Using the Principles Behind the Agile Manifesto from the 4/16 lecture (AgileScrum.pptx in the Lectures folder), please answer the following:

What type of role and work setting do you hope to work in after you complete your collegiate studies?

Which one of the 12 Agile Principles would be your first choice in adapting towards your work setting?

Why is that principle important to you?

I need 220 words

Use Cases

  1. Read the narrative on Acme Electric, LLC download.
  2. Determine all the use cases in the ‘Job Management Application’ section, sub-section #1 only, in the narrative. Create brief summaries for every use case you find.
  3. Your senior architect has determined that “Create a job.” is architecturally significant. Create a fully dressed or detailed use case.
  4. Tom has determined that “Assign crew(s), tools and BOM to a specific job with dates” is of high business value to him. Create a fully dressed or detailed use case.
  5. Create a use case diagram of the use cases you have just created.

Create a 3 – 4 page evaluation report

The leadership of GTR is considering AWS for their enterprise cloud solution, but some members of the leadership team are skeptical of this solution. They have asked you, as a solution architect, to provide them with a report describing the advantages and disadvantages of the AWS. Based on what you learned in the materials this week and any personal experience with the solution, answer the following:

Create a 2- to 3-page evaluation report of the AWS cloud solutions, including:

  • Explain the reasons for switching to cloud architecture from on-premises, in general.
  • Explain what it means to design resilient architectures.
  • Describe the purpose of AWS.
  • Describe how AWS helps design resilient architectures.
  • Describe at least two advantages of using AWS*.
  • Describe at least two disadvantages of AWS*.
  • Create a chart with AWS’s primary competitors and a brief description of strengths and cautions. (Tip: pick 2 to 3 competitors and focus on general strengths and cautions relevant to GTR.)
  • Add anything else you feel your leadership team would need to know.

*The advantages and disadvantages should be relevant to GTR, who has retail operations in 10 states and 5 countries and is experiencing rapid growth. For example, one consideration could be if AWS does not operate in a country where GTR does business, is there an impact?
