You are to write a program that will use a menu to let you manipulate complex numbers. Your program should allow you to add, subtract, multiply, divide, conjugate, and negate complex numbers. Menu Options: 1 Add 2 Subtract 3 Multiply 4 Divide 5 Conjugate 6 Negate 7 Toggle Menu 8 Quit You will write functions “Read_Complex” and “Write_Complex” to help you. In this program you will also need to make use of “typedef”, and write functions like “negate” to return objects of type “Complex”. Since “real programmers don’t use menus”, you should be able to turn your menus on or off at will. You are required to make use of separate compilation with a minimum breakdown of typedefs, I/O functions, arithmetic functions, and main program.

Assignment Question

The purpose of this assignment is to examine the components of a research article and help you identify guidelines for conducting critical analyses of published works.  The knowledge gained should be applied when completing your weeks 3 and 5 research assignments.  As you complete assignments it is a good idea to proof read your work or use the University writing center to help with APA formatting.  Both are great avenues for assistance in minimizing grammatical errors and conducting research. Please use the attached “Guidelines for Evaluating a Research Article” to answer the below questions:

  • What is an Information Technology Project?
  • Identify & explain the major parts of a research paper.
  • Explain the difference(s) between qualitative vs quantitative research methods.
  • Why use Peer Reviewed journals?
  • Why are keywords used during the Literature Review process?
  • Why are project deliverables, limitations & deadlines an important aspect of project development?
  • Why use/apply APA Basic Citation Stiles in your writing assignments/research?
  • Why is Academic Integrity important (see syllabus)?
  • Explain the difference between plagiarism vs self-plagiarism?

Your assignment must follow these formatting requirements:

  • Use at least three – five (3 – 5 ) quality resources in this assignment. Note: Wikipedia and similar Websites do not qualify as quality resources.
  • Be typed, double spaced, using Times New Roman font (size 12), with one-inch margins on all sides; citations and references must follow APA or school-specific format.
  • Include a cover page containing the title of the assignment, the student’s name, the professor’s name, the course title, and the date. The cover page and the reference page do not count toward the page count

What information on the competitive landscape should be included in a business plan? What frameworks would you use? What information on the key venture risks should be included in a business plan? Is it important for the business plan to be pessimistic or optimistic in regard to these risks?

A number of software development methodologies exist to encourage rapid design and implementation (e.g., agile software development, extreme programming, etc.). Select two of these methodologies and compare and contrast the specific product design and development processes each is attempting to address and improve.

Project Description:

In this project, you will apply skills you practiced from the Objectives in PowerPoint Chapters 1 through 3. Topic 1: Copyright
This week you read about copyright and some of the laws governing digital rights management.
Discussion:
Copyright protection is available for original works of authorship that are fixed in a tangible form, whether published or unpublished. The categories of works that can be protected by copyright laws include paintings, literary works, live performances, photographs, movies, and software.
Response #1:
Make an argument for or against the following statement: “Copyright is the only way for musicians, artists, and filmmakers to protect their integrity.  What’s important is not profit, but protecting creative content from unfair use. Copyright should remain an important part of our law”. Justify your response with support from the reading.

Topic 2: Customer Location Data
This week you read the article “Verizon, AT&T, T-Mobile, and Sprint Suspend Selling of Customer Location Data (web page). https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/the-switch/wp/2018/06/19/verizon-will-suspend-sales-of-customer-location-data-after-a-prison-phone-company-was-caught-misusing-it/?noredirect=on
Discussion:
Verizon, AT&T, and Sprint will no longer share its customers’ location information with several third-party companies who failed to handle the data appropriately.
Question #1:
Do you agree with phone companies sharing their customers’ information with third-party companies? Why or why not? Support your answer.

Topic 3: Filter Bubbles
This week read the article” Measuring the Filter Bubble: How Google is measuring what you click” (https://spreadprivacy.com/google-filter-bubble-study/) and watched “How Filter Bubbles Isolate You” (YouTube Video)…https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pT-k1kDIRnw
Discussion:
If you and I performed a Google Internet search on a topic, we could get totally different results. How is this possible?  In attempts to provide us with user-specific content based on the data they collect on us, web companies may also be restricting us from information and “narrowing our world view.”
Question #1:
What are your thoughts on filter bubbles? Have you ever encountered a Filter Bubble?  Do you think companies like Facebook and Google have a civic responsibility in this area?

Minimum Topic Response: PLEASE RESPOND IN THREE OR MORE SENTENCES PER TOPIC.
NOTE 1: Please make sure you answer EACH item and LABEL each item (#1, #2, #3, etc) so that I can easily check that each item has been answered.
NOTE 2: Please do not attach a file to the conference–enter your reply into the text area provided.
NOTE 3: After you post your response, please review it to make sure it is formatted correctly and is easy to read
