Business continuity planning is an expanded version of contingency planning that typically encompasses a more comprehensive and extended response plan for getting back to ‘business as usual’. In a well-formatted, highly-detailed research paper, address the need to contingency planning, ensuring to address the following items:(1) Benefits of scenario events/planning.
(2) Questions to consider when implementing scenario planning.
(3) The common types of scenario planning.Your paper should meet the following requirements:

  • Be approximately four to six pages in length, not including the required cover page and reference page. (Remember, APA is double spaced)

  1. Find a peer-reviewed scholarly journal article discussing blockchain technology. Complete a review of the article by writing a 2-3 page overview of the article. This will be a detailed summary of the journal article, including concepts discussed and findings. Additionally, find one other source (it does not have to be a peer-reviewed journal article) that substantiates the findings in the article you are reviewing.

    Once you find the article, you will read it and write a review of it.  This is considered a research article review.

Data Definition and Data Manipulation Language

 

he case study retail store has provided a list of reports and data manipulation tasks that are needed in the processing of orders for their customers. Answer the following:

  • What structured query language (SQL) statement scripts are needed to create the database schema for the relational database system and manipulate the data in the solution that you are proposing to the company?
  • How does each of these scripts specifically support the goals and objectives of the company?

As indicated in Unit 1, it is assumed that Microsoft SQL Server Express Edition (with management tools) was chosen as the database platform. It can be downloaded for free at this Web site.

The project deliverables are as follows:

  • Data Manipulation Tasks
    • Insert 20 records into each table for testing purposes.
    • Delete an entire order by using the unique identifier for that order.
    • Update the price of a product by using the unique identifier for that product.

    • Include the database manipulation scripts (DML) that will be used to INSERT, DELETE, and UPDATE data in the proposed database system.
    • Include the SELECT, CROSSTAB, and AGGREGATE FUNCTION statements that will be used to read data from the proposed database system.

Problem 1- Planning the Project

1.Everyone has been involved in projects. What is the largest project you have been involved in? (You do not have to have been the project manager, but could have played another role.)

  1. Write one sentence that describes the objective of the project.
  2. Describe specifically how this project meets the definition of a project used in this textbook. (How is it unique? What were the time constraints? If it is over, how did you know it was over? If it is ongoing, how will you know when it is over?

This assignment consists of two (2) sections: a project introduction and a project plan. You must submit both sections as separate files for the completion of this assignment. Label each file name according to the section of the assignment it is written for. Additionally, you may create and / or assume all necessary assumptions needed for the completion of this assignment.
You are a newly appointed Chief Information Officer (CIO) of a $25 million dollar data collection and analysis company that has been operating less than two (2) years. It is expected to grow by 60% over the next eighteen (18) months. Your company currently collects data using Web analytics and combines it with operational systems data. Web analytics is an increasingly important part of most business marketing plans. Your company is looking for ways to leverage the collected data but wants to ensure that the information technology infrastructure will support the expected growth that the company is anticipating. The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) has given you sixty (60) days to deliver a comprehensive information systems project plan to address the organizational growth that the company is experiencing. The company will be expanding from one (1) floor to three (3) floors within six (6) months. Since this is a relatively new company, there is currently limited technology infrastructure to support the business. All information technology (hardware and software) must be redesigned to meet organizational needs. The solution should be implemented in either a hosted solution, on-site solution, or a hybrid model. The CEO is expecting you to integrate different technologies from different partners and incorporate industry best practices and cost-effective solutions in connection with the development of technological systems. In addition, the CEO is extremely interested in cloud computing technologies and Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) but is leery of security issues that may be associated. However, he is sure that you will implement proper security protocols. The company currently consists of twenty (20) employees of which four (4), including yourself, are dedicated to the IT organization.
Section 1: Project Introduction
Write a four to six (4-6) page project introduction that documents the current state of the organization, expands upon the information given above, and includes the following:

Details regarding the type of business that the company is engaged in.
A description of current outsourcing and offshoring activities.
Identification of current skilled information systems personnel in position and responsibilities.
