A Gas pump calculates the cost of gas at a local gas station. The station charges $2.69 per gallon for regular grade gas, $2.79 per gallon for special grade gas, and $2.89 for super grade. Create an application that simulates the functionality of the gas pump. The user enters the number of gallons to purchase and clicks the desired grade (each grade is represented by a button whose text properties are set to Regular, Special, and Super+). The Click event handler for each button calls a method to compute the total cost from the number of gallons entered and the selected grade. Fashion industry can be characterized as a hard to predict industry as fashion trends and consumer tastes evolve quickly and continually. This means that both demand forecasting and inventory allocation processes are challenging for the industry. Francesco Cavarero seeks to “bring analytical rigor to the company’s planning and inventory management decisions” leading to a digital transformation. The question becomes can artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning replace human intuition in this industry? More importantly, how will this impact the current business processes?

He has created a team of analysts to help him in this process. As the team of analysts charged with this task you are required to address the following issues.

1. What would you recommend to Francesco to transform Miroglio’s information systems? Create a visual map for the steps you identify and describe the specific steps for the path that the organization will traverse to transform their information systems. Highlight the assumptions you make and discuss why these steps will help Miroglio be successful in their digital transformation.

Blockchain Implementation Project Plan

Every project that has a reasonable chance at success starts with a solid plan. A project plan is far more than just a schedule – it is a master plan that directs all planning and execution efforts to meet a project’s goals. For this class project, you will create a project plan to implement a newly developed blockchain application.

The first step in this assignment is to describe your organization’s environment and blockchain application. You can choose a consumer-based or enterprise application environment. Each one has its own environmental concerns. Once you describe your organization and blockchain application environment, you will provide the abbreviated project plan. (A real project plan will include detailed schedule, budget, procurement, and other supporting plans. This project won’t require all components of a real-life project plan.)

You abbreviated project plan (with organizational and blockchain environment introduction) must be no less than 1500 words. Your paper must be in proper APA format, including proper in-text citations and end references for any external sources you use. No more than 10% of this paper may originate from external sources. This isn’t a research paper – it is a project plan.

Your paper must start with the following sections (which should comprise at least 1/3 of your paper):

• Organizational overview – Introduce your organization (it can be fictitious). Describe what your organization does, how it defines success, what services or products it produces, and why it decided to venture into blockchain technology. Then describe the specific goals blockchain technology must meet to be deemed a success.
• Blockchain environment overview – Describe the type of blockchain your organization has decided to implement and why. Explain how your chosen blockchain implementation is the best choice for your organization’s goals and capabilities, and how your organization participates in your chosen blockchain network’s governance.
  Here are the sections your project plan must include:
• Project overview – Within the context of an organization and blockchain environment (described in the first 2 sections of your paper), provide an overview of this project. What application are you implementing? (Describe a novel blockchain application that derives value from blockchain technology. Explain why blockchain technology is required for your application to operate.) This section should include a description of what application you are implementing, and how you define success for your project.
• Project charter – The high-level initial project document necessary to gain approval and funding (includes the following)

o Reasons for engaging in this project (Why do you want to implement this application?) o Projectobjectives
o Projectconstraints
o Projectstakeholders

o Projectscope

o Project risks (Include scalability, compliance, and security)
o Projectbenefits
o Project cost (Provide reasonable estimates of personnel and infrastructure cost to

accomplish what you’re proposing.)

• Deliverables – a list (with descriptions) of artifacts to be delivered to the customer (defined in
  stakeholders above) at the end of the project
• Critical success factors – What criteria will customers use to determine whether the deliverables
  are acceptable?
• Work Breakdown Structure – What steps are necessary to take your application from a
  development environment to a deployed and operating environment? This section demonstrates an understanding of the implementation process. Provide a description, along with details, of tasks necessary to deploy a blockchain application and make it available for end users. You don’t need to provide specific commands or details but describe the process in enough detail that your technical staff could create procedures from your plan.
• Quality plan – Describe how you plan to measure and enforce quality standards at each step. Describe your chosen quality metrics and how you will ensure your desired quality standards will be maintained.
• Operationalization plan – Once you have successfully deployed your application conducted a formal hand-off to customers, describe how you will hand-off the maintenance of your application to operations. Describe the process of handing off the application and what operations needs to take delivery of your application responsibilities.
  Don’t let this plan become a collection of lists. The purpose of this assignment is for you to consider the level of effort required to implement any blockchain application. We aren’t covering the initial blockchain network implementation – just an application’s implementation. Be creative when you choose an application. Really think through how to describe your blockchain application in such a way that you can use your description to get funding and support for your project.
  You project plan file must be a Microsoft Word format (.docx), and have the filename with the following format:

• SECTION is the section number of your current course (2 digits)
• STUDENTID is the LAST FOUR digits of your student ID number

Prepare a paper on some of the various issues, protocols, methods, frameworks you found and discuss how – if possible – organizations can use ERM as strategy. It is perfectly acceptable if you deem ERM cannot be used as strategy, just back up your claim with scholarly research and justifications.

1. s you already know, at the end of CS 700, you should have a had a complete system design of a project…and now that some time has passed, you may have thought about changes that you want to make to the project…or you might think that you want to do a completely different project!…

   For your next assignment, we need to make sure our project is “up to date”…

   • Using your Project Charter from last semester as a base, update your charter to include any changes you would like to make to your project…you should also update the tools and resources that you plan on using…your “updated” proposal should contain details about the functionality of your project and the tools to be utilized…
   • You should also include a one to two page summary of the changes you want to make…
   • Of course, if you make changes to your Charter, that means there are potential changes to your Project Plan, Gantt Chart, and Budget…

   • Review your changes and update your project plan, Gantt Chart, and budget accordingly…
   • Remember, the plan must be a DETAILED plan, showed all major tasks and subtasks…make sure you maintain ORIGINAL, REVISED, and ACTUAL Start and End Dates…MS-Project is probably the best software for this, as it contains many templates that you can work from…but there are others such as Smartsheet and MS-Visio…any of these is fine…
   • When you submit your project plans, please submit both the ORIGINAL document AND a PDF or SCREENSHOT of the plan…this way I can review the plan if I am having difficulties with the original…
   • I will review all updates, and either approve them or reject them with explanations…if I feel there are major issues with your revisions, I will reach out to you via email to schedule some time to review and discuss…

     What if you do not want to make any changes?…that is fine also…just tell me that…but keep in mind…your final product must match the Project Charter…so no major changes can be made without the Project Sponsor’s approval…

• Where are you moving to for your new work-from-home  position? Which ISPs are available at this location? Which do you pick  and why? 
• I will be moving to Smithfield, VA, to work for Smithfield Foods but  working from home as a cyber security analyst. The town of Smithfield  resides within the county of Isle of Wight. Due to the rural area, only 3  ISP are available: Spectrum Internet, HughesNet Internet, and T-Mobile  Home Internet. Of these three options, I would only choose Spectrum  Internet for two reasons. The first, the others use mobile hotspots, and  the second spectrum offers a Home Business option to have a hard line  installed along with wi-fi, so you have better coverage.
• What equipment do you need for your  work-from-home position? What does your ISP provide? What does your  employer provide? What do you need to provide?
• My home office will require a computer, modem, router, and all the  necessary power cords and cables to connect the devices. My company  would provide my Desktop with two-factor authentication. My ISP would  provide the modem and routers and the necessary coax and ethernet cables  for my wi-fi and wired internet. I would need to provide additional  IoT, such as a printer and tablet.
• What network cabling will you be using, and which devices?
• I will use coax and ethernet cables. The coax cable will be  connected from the wall to the back of the modem, the ethernet will  connect from the computer to the modem, and the ethernet will connect  the modem to the router for other wi-fi access.
• How do you determine the IP addresses on your devices?
• Since I have been using Windows 10 for my work computer, I could use  a few different ways to ascertain my IP addresses. First, you can use  the command prompt, type “cmd” in the search bar, right-click on the  command prompt and “run as administrator,” then, on the command line,  type “arp – a”  This will display all the IP addresses within the  network. Second, I could open the “My spectrum” app and go to my  internet option; select display connects to all connected IP addresses.
• How will you set up equipment in your  office in your new home? Will you be using wireless or hard wire for  your network connection? What else should be considered?
• I will be setting up all my equipment in my allocated office space. I  will have the modem and router on the desk with the computer, and my  printer will be next to the desk on the stand. Having all my equipment  close will allow easy access and minimum cables. I will have two sources  of the internet for work, the primary being wi-fi, but given that I  live in a rural area, the wi-fi can sometimes be spotty. For this  reason, my backup internet connection will be my wired coax line into my  modem, fed into my computer via ethernet Cat5 wire. My IoT devices will  be connected via wireless; if all else should fail (unlikely), I could  always use my cell phone as a mobile hotspot for emergencies.
