ERP system

 You work for a large financial institution. Discuss the importance of information governance and information security, from the perspective of your customers, and your employees. Should your large financial institution make its information governance and information security clear to its customers and why?

Moreover, The CEO feels that the capital investment into an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system would be the best decision as part of the next strategic plan for the organization. Make a persuasive argument for ERP into the organization. What specifics, benefits, drawbacks, and changes will result from the implementation of ERP? Why would you disagree (if you are) with the CEO on the use of ERP?

Week 3: Course Project

Week 3 Course Project deliverables are due.

Add at least one conditional expression to your program.

Examples: In the programming tutorial, you would add a tutorial on conditional expressions. You can then add simple multiple choice questions to test the user’s understanding of the concepts. You might also want to break the tutorial into sections, and use conditional expressions to ask the user which tutorial they wanted to see (i.e., variable declaration, input/output, conditional expressions, etc.).

For the loan calculator, the program might ask the user if he or she wants to solve for monthly payment, loan amount, length of loan, or interest rate. The program would then ask for the required information and solve for the remaining value.

Refer the the Course Project Overview for complete details.

Write a program for the Bookstore

Write a program for the Bookstore. The main application will declare a table to hold the names of the items ordered as well as the prices.
Create a class named Menu that will display the following:WELCOME TO ***** FROM THE FOLLOWING:
ENTER 1 TO PURCHASE A TEXTBOOK
ENTER 2 TO ORDER SUPPLIES
ENTER 3 TO ORDER LOGO CLOTHINGReturn the selected value back to the main program and, depending on the value, you will call one of three subroutines:Supplies – Sample menu – DO NOT DISPLAY THE PRICES IN THE MENU!:
PLEASE SELECT FROM THE FOLLOWING SUPPLIES:
ENTER 1 FOR PRINTER PAPER $12
ENTER 2 FOR 3 SUBJECT NOTEBOOK $12
ENTER 3 FOR 2019 PLANNER $10
ENTER 4 FOR 6 PK SCANTRON $2Textbook – Sample menu:
PLEASE SELECT FROM THE FOLLOWING TEXTBOOKS:
ENTER 1 FOR JAVA PROGRAMMING $128

HIPAA Compliance

Your company is a security service contractor that consults with businesses in the U.S. that require assistance in complying with HIPAA. You advertise a proven track record in providing information program security management, information security governance programs, risk management programs, and regulatory and compliance recommendations. You identify vulnerabilities, threats, and risks for clients with the end goal of securing and protecting applications and systems within their organization.

Your client is Health Coverage Associates, a health insurance exchange in California and a healthcare covered entity. The Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (ACA) enables individuals and small businesses to purchase health insurance at federally subsidized rates. In the past 6 months, they have experienced:

  • A malware attack (i.e., SQL Injection) on a critical software application that processed and stored client protected health information (PHI) that allowed access to PHI stored within the database
  • An internal mistake by an employee that allowed PHI to be emailed to the wrong recipient who was not authorized to have access to the PHI
  • An unauthorized access to client accounts through cracking of weak passwords via the company’s website login

Health Coverage Associates would like you to develop a security management plan that would address the required safeguards to protect the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of sensitive data from the attacks listed above and protect their assets from the vulnerabilities that allowed the attacks to occur.

Write a 1- to 2-page high-level executive summary of the legal and regulatory compliance requirements for Health Coverage Associates executives. The summary should provide

  • Accurate information on the HIPAA requirements for securing PHI
  • FISMA and HIPAA requirements for a security plan
  • Scope of the work you will perform to meet the Health Coverage Associates’ requests

Compile a 1-to 2-page list of at least 10 of the CIS controls that provide key alignment with the administrative (policies), physical (secured facilities), and technical safeguards required under HIPAA to protect against the attacks listed above. Include corresponding NIST controls mapped to the selected CIS controls.

Write a 1- to 2-page concise outline of the contents of the security management plan. Include

  • Policies Health Coverage Associates will need to manage, protect, and provide access to PHI
  • The recommended risk management framework Health Coverage Associates should adopt
  • Key elements Health Coverage Associates should include in its plan of actions and milestones

Design and implement a stringed musical

1. Design and implement a stringed musical instrument class using the following guidelines:

a. Data fields for your instrument should include number of strings, an array of string names representing string names (e.g. E,A,D,G), and boolean fields to determine if the instrument is tuned, and if the instrument is currently playing. You are welcome to add additional data fields if you like.

b. A constructor method that set the tuned and currently playing fields to false.

c. Other methods 1) to tune the instrument, 2) to start the instrument playing, and 3) to stop the instrument from playing.

d. Other methods as you see fit (Add at least one unique method).

2. Create a UML class diagram using a diagram tool (e.g. PPT, Visio) of your choice. Prepare the diagrams and place them in a word document along with a brief description of each of your classes.

3. Create Java classes for your instruments. Be sure that your code matches your design specifications and some minimal functionality is included. For example, if you called the violin.play() method, you should at least print that the violin is playing. Similar functionality should be supplied when you stop playing, tune or call any of your methods. For example:

public void playviolin() {
System.out.println(“The violin is now playing.”);
}

4. Write the output from your Instrument class methods to a text file that a user entered from the command line arguments (e.g. java Mynamep3tst myfilename.txt). This allows your program to accept filenames from the user via a command line argument.

5. Finally, create a Java test class that simulates using your instrument class. In your test class be you should at a minimum: a) Construct 10 instances of your instrument, b) tune your instruments, c) Start playing your instrument, d) Call your unique method, and e) Stop playing your instruments. (Hint: Arrays and Loops will make your job easier and result in more efficient code!)

6. Your programs should compile and run without errors.

7. Be sure to test your program carefully. Provide a list of comprehensive test cases used to validate your application and include these test cases in your word document containing your UML diagrams and descriptions. Similar to Project 1, your test data can be shown in a table that includes input data, expected output, actual output and pass/fail results from the test.
