lab

In this lab you’ll set up your own local environment you’ll use in later labs to set up Ethereum and Hyperledger Fabric development and deployment environments. When you finish this lab, you’ll have the infrastructure in place to build many different types of virtual environments on your own computer.

Project Scenario 5 Lessons Learned Retrospectives

 Scenario 5: Sprint Retrospective

Before you begin this assignment, be sure you have read the “XYZ Corporation Case”.

No comparison of the videos is required. Per Ms. Cortez, your task assignment is to execute the following steps and to develop and submit the cited summary/analysis deliverables.

1. View Video 1 several times.

2. Summarize the key content of Video 1 and state its provided definition of Agile retrospectives. Also, include a reminder about any related content important to XYZ Corporation that is not included in the video.

3. View Video 2 several times.

4. Summarize the key content of Video 2 and state each of the wrong ways dramatized in the video. For each wrong way included in the video, state the corresponding right way, and provide a brief description of the right way in the XYZ Agile environment.

5. View Video 3 several times.

6. List each mistake and tip included in the Video 3, and elaborate on each mistake and tip in 1-2 sentences. Cite which tips you think are most important for XYZ Corporation. Cite which tips you think are least important for XYZ Corporation. Also cite one additional tip not included in the video that we want to nonetheless emphasize at XYZ Corporation.

7. Watch Video 4 several times.

8. Summarize the key content of Video 4. Be sure to address: 1) what to keep as is (“like”); and 2) what to improve (“don’t like”) for the next Sprint, as well Mr. Southerland’s concept of “the one thing” to emphasize. After your initial summary, include 3 representative examples of items that may come up in a retrospective in the category of what to keep as is and the category of what to improve.

Final Project (Research Paper) – Enterprise Risk Management

Risk management is one of the most important components in empowering an organization to achieve its ultimate vision. With proper risk management culture and knowledge, team members will be “speaking” the same language, and they will leverage common analytical abilities to identify and mitigate potential risks as well as exploit opportunities in a timely fashion. In order to consolidate efforts, the existence of an integrated framework is crucial.

This is why an ERM is necessary to the fulfillment of any organization’s goals and objectives. In your final research project for the course, your task is to write a 7-10 page paper discussing the following concepts:

  • Introduction – What is an ERM?
  • Why Should an Organization Implement an ERM Application?
  • What are some Key Challenges and Solutions to Implementing an ERM?
  • What is Important for an Effective ERM?
  • Discuss at least one real organization that has been effective with implementing an ERM framework/application.
  • Conclusion – Final thoughts/future research/recommendation

The paper needs to be approximately 7-10 pages long, including both a title page and a references page (for a total of 9-12 pages). Be sure to use proper APA formatting and citations to avoid plagiarism.

Your paper should meet the following requirements:

  • Be approximately seven to ten pages in length, not including the required cover page and reference page.
  • Follow APA7 guidelines. Your paper should include an introduction, a body with fully developed content, and a conclusion.
  • Support your answers with the readings from the course, the course textbook, and at least FIVE scholarly journal articles to support your positions, claims, and observations, in addition to your textbook. The UC Library is a great place to find supplemental resources.
  • Be clearly and well-written, concise, and logical, using excellent grammar and style techniques. You are being graded in part on the quality of your writing.

Week 4 Project

Creating a BudgetIn this assignment you will create a spreadsheet and a chart to help a hypothetical couple work out their budget. You will submit a Microsoft Excel spreadsheet following the directions below to the appropriate submission folder by the due date. You will name this file W4P_LastName.xlsx.Click on the link below, Week 4 Project Tips, for some visual aids on how to tackle this week’s project.Week 4 Project TipsPlease Note:Information to help you with this project is available in the Week 4 online lectures, your textbook, as well as Microsoft Excel Help (F1). Your professor is also a great resource. If you work ahead, you can post questions about this assignment on the Questions for the Professor discussion board and still submit your assignment on time.ScenarioTom and Sally were trying to get a handle on their budget. They heard that MS Excel could help them with that.  Tom is going to school and has cut back on his hours. Sally has finished her associate’s degree and is working full time. They want to look at the last three months of their income and expenses to see where they can make changes.Part I – The SpreadsheetFirst, in an Excel Spreadsheet, create a budget to show Tom and Sally’s income, expenses, and money leftover each month (Net). Create formulas in your spreadsheet for your calculations using the following data:

  • Tom brought home $1,000 a month for January, February, and March.
  • Sally brought home $1,900, $2,000, and $1,975 respectively for those three months.
  • They paid $1,000 for rent and utilities each month.
  • They paid $88 for insurance each month.
  • They paid $60 for cell phones and $60 for Internet/TV each month.
  • They spent $600, $750 (due to a big birthday bash), and $500 on food respectively.
  • Their car payment and gas came to $225, $250, and $300 respectively.
  • Entertainment and gifts were $75, $100, and $45 respectively.
  • They paid a little extra on their credit card $150, $125, and $100 respectively.
  • They allocated $200 each month for personal grooming and health care.
  • They put $100 each month into savings.
  • Miscellaneous Expenses came to $200, $100, and $400 respectively.

A sample budget layout is included below as an example of one way to lay out a budget. Part II – The ChartOnce you have worked out the budget spreadsheet, use the tabs at the bottom of the page to open another sheet. Here you will create a chart similar to the example below using the tools you learned about in the lectures and the textbook. On the new sheet:

  1. Create a column chart to visually represent their monthly expenses. If you have a challenge getting the chart on this sheet, research how to move your chart using your reading or Help (F1). You might also try right clicking on the chart.
  2. Add a descriptive title to the chart.

Part III – Changing Values

  1. Copy everything from Sheet 1 (the budget calculations) and paste it into a new worksheet.
  2. Change values for Sally’s March income to $200 more. Let’s say that they didn’t use as much heat in March and their utilities were $75 less (you could use a formula to figure out $75 less but you don’t have to). See how the totals change automatically if you used formulas correctly. If the values did not change, check your formulas and try them again. Seek help if you can’t figure this out.
  3. Rename each of your three spreadsheets with descriptive names.

By the due date assigned, submit this budget to the Submissions Area. In the message box, share how the process of creating this went for you, including any challenges, successes, or insights. In the Comments box, briefly share your experiences with completing this project.

What are the consequences of an organization not having an information policy?

Post your response below and respond to at least one other student’s post.

this is the student post i want you to reply to” If a company does not have an information policy, the simply have no control of how the data they collect is used, and cannot legally use it efficiently. The scale of the repercussions will depend on the type of business that they are as well as the size of the business.  For example, if it’s a data centric business, then they have lost the core of their business and will surely get run over by a competitor soon enough. However, if it is a non data centric business, some major consequences would possibly include other businesses not wanting to work with them, a loss of credibility, and penalties from data security regulators. Other less serious consequences that not having an information policy would entail would be an overall loss of organization in the respect of data, the company would have to establish to their customers what exactly they were doing with their information without the policy, which could result in legal problems“

Instructions:

In these writing assignments, there is not a “right or wrong” answer. Rather, cases provide a vehicle for you to demonstrate your understanding and ability to apply course concepts. You must use at least two appropriate sources (other than your course textbook) that are properly cited; do not solely use the case itself to support your position. You are strongly encouraged to use the following outline so that your analysis is organized appropriately:

  • Identify both the key issues and the underlying issues. In identifying the issues, you should be able to connect them to the principles which apply to this situation.
  • Discuss the facts which affect these issues. The case may have too much information. In your discussion, you should filter the information and discuss those facts which are pertinent to the issues identified above.
  • Discuss your proposed solution/recommendation to the problem and include how you would implement it. What actions would you propose to correct the situation, based on the knowledge you have gained in this course? Be sure to support your recommendation by citing references in the text and in the supplementary readings. You should also draw on other references such as business periodicals and journals. Remember that an ANALYSIS is more than simply a SUMMARY of the Writing Assignment.
  • Discuss follow-up and contingency plans (if necessary). How will the organization know that your proposed solution is working? What should they do if it does not work?
  • Word count is 400 words, not including references and figures. References should be in the APA style.
