RESPONSE 1:

List the advantages of wireless communications for businesses.

When it comes to businesses and being productive and profitable, being able to communicate is key. Before we had the ability to communicate wirelessly, being able to productivly work often reiquired people to be in the office. Having the ability to work remotely and still communicate with the people you need to talk with is a game changer for companies. Having the ability to communicate wirelessly allows people to become more productive because they can take care of things they need to get done such as doctors appointments, take care of their children, and even travel while still being able to work and get their jobs done. When employees feel like they’re valued and are treated like actual adult who can manage their work and personal lives, they tend to also be more productive and loyal to the company as well, wireless comunications help to facilitate this.

Wireless communication also allows the company a lot of flexability as well because it can penetrate walls, which allows them to be installed almost anywhere. Because wireless signals can penetrate walls, they are also easier to install than a traditional wired network, which as a by-product, makes them less expensive as well.

RESPONSE 2:

List the advantages of wireless communications for businesses.

Advantages are mobile data access, robust network installation, speedier office moves; coupled with better disaster recovery. Other advantages are universal access to corporate data, increased productivity, ability for customers to access their access own data, data availability around the clock and improved technology (IT) support – as the data would become available around the clock.

Business would be able to access data from almost anywhere in the world. Other benefits for businesses are generating more revenue. Also, businesses can provide their customers anywhere in the world information at their disposal instantly via the various means of communications platform available to them. In addition, businesses can share inventory data, hold video conference, negotiate deals resulting into revenue increases.

Most importantly, businesses would be able to safeguard their data from public networks externally and internally by using VPNs that are capable of up to date encryption technology to guarantee the transmission of propriety data.

Businesses would be able to lower their overhead expenses in many areas, such as implementing self-service which their customers would do on their own instead of having to channel the services through the organizations’ human resources. Employees of businesses would be able to conduct business via WLANs quickly from any location

Newer technologies such RIM’s BlackBerry, the Apple iPhone, as well as Android devices are indicative of the advantages and benefits that wireless communications brings to businesses worldwide through introduction of smartphones, and software which aid in solving technical issues by trained customer service technicians and the likes for consumers that are might not familiar with the products, and how to “troubleshoot”.
